Maxx, you run your tweeter at relatively low crossover point
for this configuration. So, you electively run two MF channels at the same
reference acoustic output, which generally is not so great ide in my view for
this configuration. Try to find ...

OK, it took for a while but at this point I have nailed down all design aspects of the new 6-channels Super Milq, and particularly its input stage. I have listen and evaluated all solutions that will be implemented in there; selected, appraised and o...

[quote
user="kodomo"]In my first design, I kept them all in a vertical line.
It had one channel less back then. When I added the 1" throat JMLC 1000, I
decided, as the tweeter operates over 9.6k, the slight misalignment may not
matter. Still, I k...

Romy,These are the G.I.P. 9700A System. Here are the specs, I asked to GIP some time ago:Regarding Dimension without horn and Tweeter (only
enclosure)W: 1240mm × D: 1200mm

I had a look at the website and the AU stands for gold (from the periodic table) not Australia. Plus the prices are in pounds not dollars. Interesting turning them in walnut though and I agree totally about the "horns underwear" and industrial thre...

Thanks, jsd. I have received an email from a site visitor telling that the tweeter is not aligned and the image above does confirm it. That transforms Vittora loudspeakers into a realm of uninteresting designs. There is peaty much nothing else to say...

OK this is with a digital XO, I'm wondering whether most of you would bother to low pass a 800-10k Radian mid in a 425hz Azurahorn, which hands over to a 10K+ tweeter?I've read that playing too high for a particular horn has some sort of dissadvantag...
There is a strange looks like another tweeter at the bottom of the bass horn.
I can't really make it out on the photo, but it looks a bit like a Tannoy Supertweeter....

Another bogus idea.If a perfect upper bass could be achieved by means of spherical (approx. 1m diameter horn), what would be the next acceptable solution,if space considerations do not allow big horns? Perhaps that could be a line array of small dire...

Very good, thanks for the images. It would be very interning to learn what the bandwidth of the horns, the bandwidth of the drivers and the specificity of crossovers you eventually chose to use with each channel. It might take for you for a while to ...

Hi Fellow Forumers,This is my first newbie post :-) Do any of you have any experience with running a Lundahl 1627 in a Full Range Melquiades with Avantgarde Duo Omega speakers? The other options are to get some custom Amorphous OPT's <50R 350mA 8:1...

HI AllHas anyone one here have any experience with Yamaha 6681B. I have a good pair with working original diaphragms lined up. I will be looking at using them in a 400hz Le Cleac'h above a 100cm 160hz Horn, possibly with a Fane 8m from the current GB...

Looks like a whole bunch of people looked at the thread but nobody replied.Does that mean nobody knows, nobody cares or I just posted it in the wrong place??Seems like nice curvy corners ought to help but maybe I'm woofing up the wrong tweeter!cedwar...

Actually, Adrian, I think you took it out of context. I the quote above I was talking about the Injection Channel and I did not talk about the whole system equalization. I just said that the Injection Channel might be driver harder. Do not forget tha...

I think Utopia is alittle soft with less sharpness than wilson , I have no idea but maybe one of the reasons is internal wiring of utopia.personally i prefer wilson but in this level of difference maybe choosing right cable and upstream help compensa...
Regarding your HF: Do you use a naked ribbon over 10k? If the PP2000 has worked for you, you might want to try it.
Well, I will try the PP2000 after I have finished evaluating the new 2A3 tubes. The EdgarHorn Titans use a...

OK, now the SA8535 driver is fully broken-in and well-habituated. I have no idea how the “Stage Accompany” suggests using this driver from 1000Hz! From what I observe, at MF this driver sounds very “flat” and very none-impressive. I have suspicion th...

I put a couple days ago a silk dome tweeter in the game. I look in my storages to see what I had there among the traditional silk domes. I ended up pulling out my North Creek Music D25 driver.

Something else too obvious to mention (yet mentioned here...) is that the tweeter works better if it is also +/- "balanced" against the LF. Broadly speaking, it is partly this "balance" (combined with the brain's ability to fill in "missing" informa...

A second opinion needed.
Interesting, I recently found a very-very well performing setting for my EV T350 tweeter. I changed the source for HF channel form amplifier’s output to the MF channel and now I source the HF channel AFTER the MF high-pass f...

Unfortunately I did´t hear the big Lansche. But if the integration of the plasma tweeter is as good as in the smaller one plus better dynamics below and the possibility to use small amps it could be mighty interesting....

I would rather to hear from the people who use tweeters over 10K to comment not about the “quality of the tweeters” but about the quality of amplification and the quality of electricity that they use to drive those tweeters. The better tweeter it is ...

Vasyachkin,
I have different view about “modifying products” as any product is always implying something very generic but I have my own needs. Probably not “modifying” but adopting would be better but it is not the subject in here.
If you read my s...

OK, now you have to keep going, because from this alone one "comes to the conclusion" that the tweeter to use is the one that goes way up there, like the "diamond" or Be, etc. So, now you have to tell us to find wide-range paper tweeters that run wi...

Romy,>> getting rid of active crossover and go line-level shall give you very worthy and very predictable benefit then chasing a murky SET ideas. This is exactly what I plan to try by moving the current active filter to line level (in the amp). ...

It's not a grounding problem, but purely 60 HZ RF coming off the 2000. And it's only one amp that seems to be affected as a second SET on top of that one doesn't produce the hum. Of course that could be because it's a tweeter amp working above 9000HZ...

Yes, if you are at 40Hz first order then you are with regular dedicated LF channel and tone is certainly a subject. The entire definition of ULF channel inkstand or LF channel is that ULF channel has no tonal information. It is very same like use twe...

Just how important are subharmonics and undertones in audio, and how they affect tone? I played around for a while with the Townshend supertweeters, this is a ribbon tweeter that you can barely listen to: you plug it in and put it next to your...
